Physics & Astronomy Students and Staff Raise Money For Sports Relief
Students in the School of Physics & Astronomy helped to raise £52.00 for Sports Relief on Friday 18th March by competing to see who could cycle 1km in the fastest time. They stepped up to the challenge and became very competitive, with the fastest time coming in at 58 seconds. Joint first place went to Matthew Hamer and Aeron Sanchez with Rhys Rothers coming in a close second place with a time of 1 minute.
Staff in the School also raised money for Sports Relief by doing the Jo Brand Sports Relief Sweepstake. Geraldine Garrabet won £30 by choosing Jo’s favourite form of exercise (squash!), with the remaining £30 going to Sports Relief.
