Professor Wendy Flavell
Professor Flavell's research interests include the study of highly correlated oxides showing metal-to-non-metal transitions, superconductivity and GMR behaviour, and nano-crystalline oxides, particularly those of interest in the manufacture of dye-sensitised solar cells. Wendy is the Professor of Surface Physics in the new School of Physics and Astronomy. She was the first chair of the SRS Science Advisory Council (2002 - 2004) and is one of three academics heading the 4th Generation Light Source project at Daresbury.
