(Virtual) open day sessions
Get a real sense of what life is like in the Department of Physics and Astronomy by joining us for our virtual events - featuring discussions with our staff and opportunities to connect with our students.
Right now we're unable to welcome you onto our campus to show you around and answer your questions about studying with us, but that doesn't mean you can't connect with us online. We're holding virtual events, and making available the recordings in case you can't be there for the live sessions.
Our next undergraduate virtual open week will take place between 14–19 June 2021, featuring:
- Live general sessions covering all aspects of student life (Monday to Friday)
- Live subject sessions detailing your chosen course (Saturday)
Registration are open to book your sessions.
Visit and interview days
After submitting your UCAS application you may be invited to attend a visit and interview day. We view the day as a two-way process, during which you can learn more about student life in Manchester and we can assess your suitability for the course you have chosen. We try to make the day as relaxed as possible.
Right now we don't know if this will be on campus, but as soon as we do, so will you.
Our admissions department will contact you with more information.
Our latest virtual open day for undergraduate students took place in October 2020.
If you didn't manage to make it, or missed sessions you wanted to attend, we have some recordings you can still view:

There are plenty of other ways to meet us should you be unable to attend an open day.
