Careers and employability

In designing our degree courses, we strike a balance between training for industry and research, and a general education in the most fundamental of the sciences.

Our intellectually-demanding courses remain flexible enough to meet the needs of a wide range of future careers. We work closely with the University’s Career Service in helping our undergraduates to explore the job market.

Our graduates go into a wide range of careers, from continuing their studies at PhD level, to accountancy, investment banking, nuclear engineering, teaching, and many others.
