Get a real sense of what life is like in the Department of Physics and Astronomy by attending one of our open days - tour the Department, explore our facilities and speak to both staff and students.
Attending an open day is one of the best ways to find out more about the Department. We have undergraduate open days, visit days and postgraduate open days.
Undergraduate open days
The University runs a number of undergraduate open days throughout the year, giving you and your family the chance to learn more about our courses, the University and Manchester as a whole.
Spaces are limited and you can book your spot through the main University website:
Visit and interview days
After submitting your UCAS application you may be invited to attend a visit and interview day. We view the day as a two-way process, during which you can learn more about student life in Manchester and we can assess your suitability for the course you have chosen. We try to make the day as relaxed as possible.
Our visit days run twice weekly, from October to December and February to March. Our admissions team will contact you to arrange a visit day.
Postgraduate open days
Our postgraduate open days present a fantastic opportunity for you to learn more about your options for postgraduate study and to discover what Manchester has to offer.
Find out everything you need to know about our postgraduate open days, including dates, on the University website:
- Taught master's open days on the main University website
- Postgraduate research open days on the main University website
