High School (Year 12) Certificate

Entrance requirements for all undergraduate courses

BSc /MPhys / MMath&Phys

Completion of 12 years of High School studies with the highest level of achievement in Physics, Mathematics and Specialist Mathematics (e.g., 90%, A+, or equivalent). A minimum ATAR of 98.00 is also required.

Qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Obtain 19 overall in the Apolytirion of Geniko Lykeio, plus grade A* in A-level Physics and grade A* in A-level Mathematics.

Obtain an overall average of 85%, with no less than 85% in Physics and Mathematics.

Grade XII examinations awarded by Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra or Tamil Nadu State Boards

Obtain an overall average of 95%, with no less than 95% in Physics and Mathematics.

• 87% in Grade 12 Physics and 87% in Grade 12 Mathematics.
• A* in A-level Physics and A* in A-level Mathematics or Further Mathematics.
• 5,5,5 in AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Physics C Electricity and Magnetism, and AP Calculus BC.

Applicants studying the Turkish High School Diploma (MEB) from a school not on the list approved by The University of Manchester and without any additional acceptable qualifications, such as A-levels or AP Tests, will not be considered for direct entry to the first year of our courses and can only be considered for our Integrated Foundation Year.

To be considered for first year entry, applicants with this qualification must have an overall average of 90% (from Grades 11 and 12), plus additional qualifications such as:

• A*A*A in three A-level subjects, including A* in Physics and A* in Mathematics or Further Mathematics

OR

• 5,5,5,4 in four AP Tests, including 5 in each of Physics C Mechanics, Physics C Electricity and Magnetism, and Calculus BC
